If you've read Memories Lost then you know Mia sleepwalks. In fact, the book starts with her "crawling out of a lake in the middle of the night and having no idea how she ended up there"...
I had a lot of fun writing that because the embarrassing truth is... I sleepwalk. 🙈 No, I do not run into the woods and jump into lakes like Mia, but I do have my moments. And the best part is, my husband had no idea when he married me. I mean, it never really came up in conversation when we were dating so he had find out the hard way. Lol. Although now, after 10 years, he's pretty much a pro at getting me back into bed. It doesn't happen often, but since this whole quarantine started, its happened three times... And here are a few episodes... Three weeks ago... I ran out of the bedroom because I thought the ceiling fan was a huge spider about to get me. I woke up in the living room, panting. Eventually, realized how stupid that was, gave myself a few seconds to breathe then went back to bed. Without even opening his eyes, Hubby asked, "You okay?" I snuggled into his arms. "Yep, just had to pee." "Suuuuure." 😂 Two weeks ago... "Love, what the heck are you doing?" I woke with Hubby holding on to the comforter for dear life. Turns out, I was trying to rip it from him in order to throw it on the floor because (according to the sleeping me) it was infected with Covid-19! 😂 Once I realized what I was doing, I stopped. Looked at him. Then crawled back into bed and into his arms. He wrapped me in a tight embrace then kissed the top of my head and we both went back to sleep. A week ago... I had a dream that someone in a mask was about to attack my Hubby, so I sat up in bed and threw my pillow across the room. I woke up with Hubby tugging me back down and offering me half on his pillow. "Here..." he whispered. "just use mine." 😍 So, there you have it. Never a dull moment. Last night Hubby said that maybe I should stick to my "pillow attack" and get rid of the tennis racket I keep next to my bed. 😂 Poor thing, sleeps with one eye open. Well, back to my writing cave. Until next time. Be well, be kind. Jessie PS: And be positive... Comments are closed.
